Even though about 40 plant species are susceptible to Erysimum latent virus (ErLV, a tymovirus) (2), in many cases, the infection is symptomless, e.g. in the Brassicaceae family. On the other hand, infected tall rocket or tumble mustard (Sisymbrium altissimum L.) and perennial wallflower (Erysimum helveticum), both in the Brassicaceae, show symptoms of leaf mosaic and flower deformation. The geographical distribution of ErLV seems to be limited; so far, occurrence has been reported only from Germany and Czech Republic.
