CloneticsDiabetic Type I and Type II Human Skeletal Muscle Myoblasts (HSMM) are isolated from donors diagnosed with either Diabetes Type I or Diabetes Type II. Additional donor information is available by contacting Scientific Support. Diseased cells are tested in the same SkGM-2 Skeletal Muscle Growth Media as the normal cells allowing for easy comparisons between diseased and normal tissue. Both are sold in second passage.CloneticsDiabetic Donor HSMMs are tested are guarenteed to differentiate to form multinucleated myotubes in culture which stain positive for desmin. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.
Recommended medium: Diabetic Donor HSMMs require SkGM-2 BulletKit
Lonza guarantees the performance of Clonetics/Poieticscells only if appropriate Clonetics/Poieticsmedia and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees.
In addition to cryopreserved cell ampules Lonza also offers viable cells: Clonetics™ Proliferating Cells are available in a variety of convenient flask and plate formats.
Proliferating cells are delivered Tuesday-Thursday the week after initial plating. Confluency at the time of shipment varies by cell type. A new Clonetics™ Cryovial is used for each new batch using only Clonetics™ Media and Reagents. This procedure ensures viable cells of Benefits of Clonetics™ Proliferating Cells
