RABBIT ANTI NCF2

Rabbit anti Human NCF2 antibody recognizes NCF2, also known as 67 kDa neutrophil oxidase factor, NADPH oxidase activator 2, chronic granulomatous disease, neutrophil NADPH oxidase factor 2, or neutrophil cytosol factor 2.

NCF2 encodes neutrophil cytosolic factor 2, the 67 kDa cytosolic subunit of the multi-protein NADPH oxidase complex found in neutrophils. This oxidase produces a burst of superoxide which is delivered to the lumen of the neutrophil phagosome. Mutations in NCF2, as well as in other NADPH oxidase subunits, can result in chronic granulomatous disease, a disease that causes recurrent infections by catalase-positive organisms. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms (provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010).

Rabbit anti Human NCF2 antibody detects a band of 60 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
