Rabbit anti Human RNA helicase A antibody recognizes RNA helicase A, also known as DHX9, DDX9, ATP-dependent RNA helicase A, DEAD/H box polypeptide 9, DEAH box protein 9, leukophysin and nuclear DNA helicase II.

The DHX9 gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the ATP-dependent unwinding of double-stranded RNA and DNA-RNA complexes. This protein localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and functions as a transcriptional regulator. This protein may also be involved in the expression and nuclear export of retroviral RNAs. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of RNA Helicase A are found on chromosomes 11 and 13 (provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010).

Rabbit anti Human RNA helicase A antibody detects a band of 148 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
