RABBIT ANTI SKAP2

Rabbit anti Human SKAP2 antibody recognizes SKAP2, also known as SCAP2, Fyn-associated phosphoprotein SKAP55 homologue, Pyk2/RAFTK-associated protein, retinoic acid-induced protein 70 and src family associated phosphoprotein 2.

The protein encoded by the SKAP2 gene belongs to the src family kinases. This protein is similar to the src kinase associated phosphoprotein 1. It is an adaptor protein that is thought to play an essential role in the src signaling pathway in various cells. It inhibits PTK2B/RAFTK activity and regulates alpha-synuclein phosphorylation. Some reports indicate that this protein inhibits actin polymerization through interactions with actin assembly factors, and might negatively regulate the invasiveness of tumors by modulating actin assembly (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).

Rabbit anti Human SKAP2 antibody detects a band of 45 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
