RABBIT ANTI SLC39A6

Rabbit anti Human SLC39A6 antibody recognizes SLC39A6, also known as estrogen regulated ZIP-6, estrogen-regulated protein LIV-1, zinc transporter ZIP6 or zrt- and Irt-like protein 6.

Zinc is an essential cofactor for hundreds of enzymes. It is involved in protein, nucleic acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism, as well as in the control of gene transcription, growth, development, and differentiation. SLC39A6 belongs to a subfamily of proteins that show structural characteristics of zinc transporters (Taylor and Nicholson, 2003) (supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008).

Rabbit anti Human SLC39A6 antibody detects a band of 48 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
