RABBIT ANTI THYMOPOETIN

Rabbit anti Human thymopoietin antibody recognizes the beta isoform of thymopoietin, also known as lamina-associated polypeptide 2, isoform beta, TP beta and thymopoietin-related peptide isoform beta.

Encoded by the TMPO gene, thymopoietins reside in the nucleus and may play a role in the assembly of the nuclear lamina, helping to maintain the structural organization of the nuclear envelope. Mutations in TMPO are associated with dilated cardiomyopathy and this gene has been found up regulated in several types of cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been noted for TMPO (provided by RefSeq, May 2010).

Rabbit anti Human thymopoietin antibody detects a band of 51 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
