RABBIT ANTI TSC2

Rabbit anti Human TSC2 antibody recognizes tuberin, also known as protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 160, and tuberous sclerosis 2 protein.

Mutations in the TSC2 gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex. Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).

Rabbit anti Human Tuberin antibody detects a band of 200 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates.
